Pressure from myself and Conservative colleagues has resulted in the Labour Government u-turning on its decision to scrap the Winter Fuel Payment.
There will be a debate and a vote on the issue in Parliament on Tuesday, and I will be voting against the Government’s decision to strip pensioners of the Payment.
Taking the Winter Fuel Payment away from the most vulnerable in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich would be devastating and is deeply unfair.
