Today, I met with the Environment Agency to discuss critical measures to address flooding and water use issues affecting our region. Key topics included reducing the impact of flooding, providing better support for landowners with flood preparations, and addressing restrictions faced by businesses relying on aquifer water.
It was a constructive meeting, and I’m pleased with the progress made. We are now working on a list of next steps to ensure practical solutions are implemented swiftly. I will share further updates with constituents as soon as they are available.
