It was a pleasure to meet with residents from Castle Hill, Whitehouse, Whitton, and other parts of North Ipswich to discuss the challenges surrounding Cardinal Medical Practice. I fully understand the frustration many feel with the appointment-by-phone system currently in use, and I recognise the additional strain that new housing developments have placed on the surgery’s capacity.
Joined by Cllr Sam Murray, Cllr Ian Fisher, Cllr Chris Chambers, and Cllr David Goldsmith, I was able to provide updates on plans to expand capacity at the practice—a crucial step towards meeting the needs of our growing community. We also discussed the recent CQC report, which delivered encouraging news by upgrading the surgery’s rating to GOOD. This marks a positive step forward, reflecting improvements already underway.
While there is still work to be done, I remain committed to ensuring that residents have access to the high-quality healthcare services they deserve. I look forward to sharing further updates later in the year and continuing to advocate for the resources and solutions our community needs.
