Framlingham Post Office is at the heart of the local community, and sadly the effects of Storm Babet had a devastating impact on Postmaster Roger Tripp’s premises.
Despite the disruption, Roger quickly established an interim satellite service to ensure that vital services remained accessible for residents of #Framlingham and the surrounding villages.
Roger has since rebuilt the original premises and continues to provide essential services for local residents.
Roger has also secured a deal with Barclays Bank to co-locate services and ensure that a banking hub is available for local residents alongside services provided by the Post Office.
I very much enjoyed meeting with Roger to see the newly opened premises and the services that are on offer for local residents,as well as hearing his thoughts on flood resilience measures for Framlingham’s residents and businesses.
I will continue to push hard for further funding and support residents and businesses in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich who remain affected by the aftermath of Storm Babet.
