On Friday, I visited the University of Suffolk Dental CIC, where I met with CEO Lorraine Mattis, Dean of Allied Health Sciences Professor Paula Kersten, and Vice-Chancellor Professor Jenny Higham.
This state-of-the-art facility is a game changer for tackling the critical shortage of NHS dental care in Suffolk. With the aim to establish East Anglia’s first dental school, this could be a transformative step in improving long-term dental provision.
I will continue to support their vision and push for its inclusion in the new NHS workforce plan because everyone deserves access to a dentist.
It was also great to speak with the Vice-Chancellor about the University of Suffolk's wider plans for the future, and offer my support in efforts to achieving them.
