On Friday, I had the pleasure of meeting Graham Miles, the Bishop’s Agricultural Chaplain for Suffolk. It was an engaging and constructive conversation about the challenges facing our farming communities—not just here in Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, but across the county and beyond.
Graham’s unwavering passion for supporting farmers and their families was truly inspiring, and I deeply valued the insight he shared. We discussed the significant pressures farmers are contending with, including rising costs, the burden of regulations, and the mental health struggles that too often accompany the demands of farming life.
I assured Graham that I remain fully committed to standing up for our farmers and ensuring their voices are heard loud and clear in Westminster. Agriculture is the backbone of our local economy, and it’s vital that we work together to address the challenges and secure the future of farming in Suffolk.
I’d like to thank Graham for his time and his continued dedication to supporting those who work tirelessly to feed our communities.
