This morning, I attended a very productive multi-agency meeting at Suffolk Food Hall to discuss the challenges caused by Orwell Bridge closures. I know how disruptive these closures can be for my constituents, so it was invaluable to bring together key stakeholders to address the issues.
Joining me were local MPs James Cartlidge, Jack Abbott, and Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, alongside representatives from Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Highways, National Highways, the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Transport East, and Suffolk Constabulary. Together, we explored practical solutions to minimise disruption and improve resilience in our local transport network.
I will continue to push for action to ensure smoother journeys for residents and businesses alike.
