Today in Parliament, there is an Opposition Day Debate on the proposed changes to Inheritance Tax, often referred to as the #FamilyFarmTax. Once again, the Conservatives will vote to oppose this damaging policy, which threatens the future of family farms across Britain.
Last month, I met with Glenn Buckingham, the NFU East Chairman, to discuss the profound impact these changes could have on Suffolk’s farmers. Family farms are the backbone of our rural economy, and we must ensure they are protected from unnecessary and harmful tax burdens.
I will continue to stand with our farming community and fight for policies that support their vital contribution to our region and the nation.
